About
The authoring studio we always wanted to use
Didactora exists because course authoring got stuck. The big suites still assume a desktop install from another era, and the friendly web tools give up on real interactivity. We wanted deep interactivity without the desktop baggage, so we started building it.
How Didactora came to be
Didactora comes from inside the industry. It is designed and coded by an instructional designer who has shipped corporate e-learning for years and kept a growing list of everything the old tools got wrong. That list became a product.
The studio runs entirely in your browser. Projects save locally in the open .didac format, and finished courses export to SCORM 2004, SCORM 1.2, xAPI/cmi5, or standalone HTML5, so they run on whatever LMS your organization already has.
Principles
What we hold ourselves to
Honest by default
If an import loses fidelity or a feature is still on the roadmap, the product says so. We would rather flag a limitation than let you find it after publishing.
Your work stays yours
Projects live on your machine in an open format. You can walk away at any time and take every course with you.
Respect for the craft
Authoring is real work. The editor is built for people who do it daily, with a fast canvas and keyboard-friendly controls that stay out of your way.
Independent, and staying that way
Didactora is an independent product built in Haifa, Israel. There are no investors setting the roadmap. Features get built because authors need them, and the product earns its keep one subscription at a time.
